Flight Plastics opens brand new PET washplant in Lower Hutt.

In an opening ceremony attended by both the Minister, and Associate Minister, for the Environment, Flight Plastics proudly took their guests through a several-year journey to develop a fully integrated process which can now take post consumer PET waste, process it through the washplant into RPET flakes, which are then made into Flight Plastic products, which can be recovered through kerbside collection to go through the whole process again, and again. This is a milestone for PET recycling capability in New Zealand.
